"Armour" began to deepen into the bowels of St. Petersburg after the mine

At the construction site of the future metro station "Bronevaya" completed the drilling of the mine shaft - vertical production, through which in the future will conduct underground work. Now experts have begun the construction of the first horizontal production - cuts. This is reported by 78.ru with reference to the Telegram channel.

The diameter of the mine trunk is 7 meters. Inside, there will be a two-cage lift for the movement of people and cargo, a staircase, a deforestation for the supply of oversized structures and equipment, as well as an air station necessary to supply fresh air to underground workings.

The development of the mine site No. 846 began in May 2025, and on October 29, the builders began drilling the trunk itself. The soil was developed manually using pneumatic jackhammers. The walls of the mine were simultaneously reinforced with monolithic reinforced concrete.

A total of 31 monolithic entry of 2 meters was completed, and 17 reinforced concrete rings of 0.75 meters were installed. Within these rings, a cut is now being built - the first horizontal section of future underground workings.

At the same time, the construction of the mountain complex – the above-ground part of the mine, which provides the lift and descent of cargo and equipment, continues at the site. Already installed 20 rings of reinforced concrete copr, prepared openings for unloading cages, ventilation channel and foresting. Metal structures are also installed, and the foundations-supports for them and the telefer overpass are already concreted.
