Bronze sparrow settled on a verst pole in the center of Ulyanovsk
In the Park of the Imaging in Ulyanovsk appeared new details of the composition dedicated to the arrival of Alexander Pushkin in Simbirsk in 1833

In the park of the Yazykovs in Ulyanovsk, new details of the composition dedicated to the arrival of Alexander Pushkin in Simbirsk in 1833 appeared. The milepost was decorated with a small bronze sparrow and an inkwell with a feather, and the QR code was transferred to a separate plate to make it more convenient for tourists to use it.
The author of the new element was the artist Dmitry Bobrovich, who is engaged in the design of the installation. The figure of a sparrow was placed directly on the index of the mile pole.
The choice of bird is related to other parts of the composition. Sparrows are already present on a nearby art panel with views of Simbirsk of the XIX century, which is decorated with a transformer substation. Elena Cherkas, Head of the Directorate “Ulyanovsk – UNESCO Literary City”, explained that the mini-sculpture continues this topic and connects the elements of the project with each other.
Another literary detail was an inkwell with a pen - a reference to the writing work and creativity.
The placement of the QR code has also been changed. At the request of the townspeople, it was put on a separate plate on the mile pole. After scanning the visitor gets to the tourist portal "Ulyanovsk travel", where you can learn more about the project "Pushkin in Simbirsk, 1833".
The composition itself develops as part of the design of the historical center of Ulyanovsk and is dedicated to the stay of Alexander Pushkin in Simbirsk.
