Bryansk reminded how fraudsters use hacked accounts on “public services”
Attackers are able to issue a loan or SIM card in someone else's name, as well as try to get a tax deduction.

Hacking an account on the portal "Public Services" can lead to financial losses and leakage of personal data. Attackers are able to issue a loan or SIM card in someone else's name, as well as try to get a tax deduction. This was warned in the interior Ministry of Russia.
Having access to the personal account, fraudsters can use the information about the person for registration of loans and other operations. For example, to obtain a loan, they apply on behalf of the victim, go to an online bank and request a certificate of income. To assign a tax deduction, criminals indicate their own bank details in the personal account of a stranger.
In addition, personal data may be sold to third parties or used for other fraudulent schemes.
The Interior Ministry notes that messages and calls about the allegedly hacked account often turn out to be a trick of scammers. Under the pretext of protecting an account, they try to lure confirmation codes from SMS or apps.
In order not to become a victim of fraudsters, it is impossible to inform unauthorized access codes and personal data, as well as follow suspicious links. If the caller appears to be an employee of the organization and asks to confirm the information, you should contact it yourself at the official phone number.
