Bryansk applicants will be limited to the choice of magistracy to five directions in one university
According to the draft order of the Ministry of Education, from 2027, the number of destinations for admission to the magistracy of one university will be limited to five.

Bachelor’s graduates from the Bryansk region will have to carefully choose programs when entering the master’s program. The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia proposed to limit the number of areas for which you can apply in one university to five. The new rules will affect residents of the region who plan to continue their studies at Russian universities.
Now the number of courses within one educational institution is not limited. The changes are expected to be introduced from 2027-2028 academic year. Until then, the admission will proceed according to the current rules. Future undergraduates from the Bryansk region will have to determine priority programs in advance. The restriction concerns only the choice of directions within one university, and not the total number of educational institutions.
The changes are being prepared against the background of the transition to a new model of higher education. Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov said that the terms of study in the magistracy will be from one to three years, depending on the complexity of the specialty. The final admission procedure for the academic year 2027-2028 will be determined by the approved rules.
