“Honest sign” reminds Pskovites to check the product before buying

Saturday is a time for family purchases, and the "Honest Sign" labeling system urges shoppers not to trust the shelf blindly. Each item from the list of labeled groups carries a unique Data Matrix code, which encrypts the expiration date, composition, manufacturer, country of origin and documents on compliance with the standards. To forge such a code, according to the operator of the system, it is impossible, reported “MK in Pskov” in Rospotrebnadzor in the Pskov region.
Today, 38 product groups are subject to mandatory labeling - from clothing and footwear to dairy products, water and tobacco products. The list continues to expand: 14 more groups are being tested in experimental mode.
You can check the product directly in the store: it is enough to download the free application "Honest Sign" and scan the code before buying - it will show the full history of the product. If the code is not located, the application gives an error or the data do not match, it is better to postpone the purchase. An additional barrier works at the checkout: in the permit mode, the cashier automatically blocks the sale of goods with an expired period, a damaged code or prohibited for sale.
If the buyer found the goods subject to labeling, without the Data Matrix code, it is not worth buying it - the violation should be reported to the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Pskov region.
