Delegation of students and teachers of Ustpadeng School visited Belarus

The delegation included students of the Ustpadenga basic school, as well as adviser to the director of education Minin S.P., mentors Chernysh N.V. and Shpanova D.A.

The trip took place within the framework of the project of the First Movement – “Keepers of History”. The program of the expedition was built in strict accordance with the route of memory of our countrymen. The first point was a visit to the mass grave, where the Hero of the Soviet Union G. I. Shibanov was buried. At the burial site, a solemn ceremony of laying flowers took place. For the delegation, a tour of the local school bearing the name of the Hero and the district museum of local lore with a unique exposition was held.

The next stop was the agricultural town Zhdanovichi. During the search work, the grave of Hero of the Soviet Union G. A. Tokuev was found and put in order. Thanks to the assistance of local residents who personally knew Grigory Arkadyevich, it was possible to accurately identify the resting place.

The third stage of the trip was a visit to the memorial complex “Brest Hero Fortress”. The visit was not only touristic, but also scientific research: the delegation collected factual material, photo and video documents for the educational project of students “The Unconquered Citadel: The Feat of the First Minutes of the War”, according to the resource “Navigators of Childhood” (Shenkur district).
