Komsomol Day October 29: beautiful pictures and greeting cards
On Thursday, October 29, the birthday of Komsomol will be celebrated in Russia.

The Soviet Union is long gone, but nostalgia for those years still lives in the hearts of many. For millions of people, October 29 is a real holiday, the birthday of the Komsomol. In 202, this day will again unite those whose youth passed under the ringing Komsomol songs.
The history of the movement began in 1918. From a small union, the Komsomol has grown into a giant structure that has become a real framework for the development of the country. The Komsomol members raised virgin land, built cities beyond the Arctic Circle, mastered rabfaks and forged Victory. Only during the Great Patriotic War, more than three and a half thousand boys and girls received the highest award - the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
The organization formally ceased to exist in September 1991. It would seem that memory should have gone with her. However, the holiday was surprisingly tenacious. Today, solemn processions will be held throughout the country, hymns of youth will be played, thematic exhibitions and film screenings will open.
Particular attention is paid to veterans of Komsomol. They have warm evenings of memories and meetings with active youth. In schools, teachers spend classroom hours telling teenagers about real people who built factories and defended their homeland.
