The Department of Transport reported on the results of repairs of Kostroma highways

The press service of the regional administration reports that during an operational meeting on Monday, October 6, the Department of Transport and Road Activities reported on the results of the season of road repair in the Kostroma region. The work in the summer was carried out during the implementation of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” and was aimed, among other things, at ensuring the accessibility of the most touristic places in our region. For example, 4 kilometers of the road leading to the village of Domnino, associated with the name of Ivan Susanin, were repaired in the Susaninsky district. In Soligalich, sections of Soviet and Communist streets were renovated, leading to unique wooden shopping rows that have survived to this day.

In the Galich district, the repair of an 11-kilometer section of the Stepanovo-Bui highway is being completed. The track provides access to the tourist trail "Galich Zaozero", which passes near cultural and historical attractions; active repair work is currently underway on the 6-kilometer section of the Ostrovsky-Zavolzhsk highway, which leads to the Shchelykovo Museum-Reserve, dedicated to the life and work of playwright A.N. Ostrovsky. Repair of the road section Nizhny Novgorod - Sharya - Veliky Ustyug is being completed. Repairs are on schedule and will be completed in October.

Assessing the results of the work of road workers, Governor Sergey Sitnikov at an operational meeting demanded from officials of all levels and deputies of the regional Duma to pay attention to the safety of roads in winter: I appeal to the heads of municipalities - do not look at whose roads are federal, regional or municipal. Take control of how winter preparations are going, otherwise small problems can develop into big costs. I urge the deputies of the regional Duma also to join this work, the governor drew the attention of the participants of the operational meeting of deputies.
