Deputies of the Minsk City Council discussed the implementation of the investment program in 2026

Deputies under the leadership of the Chairman of the Minsk City Council Artyom Tsuran took part in an on-site seminar "On the effectiveness of the implementation of the investment program of the city of Minsk in 2026" on September 25, the correspondent of the "Minsk-news" agency reports.

Deputies visited the facility "Reconstruction of the Minsk wastewater treatment plant on Inzhenernaya St., 1", where they got acquainted with the work.

— Reconstruction has three main objectives. The first is the efficiency of wastewater treatment. The second point is the elimination of unpleasant odors that come from mechanical cleaning facilities. The sumps are closed and the exhaust gases will be cleaned and safely discharged into the atmosphere. Some of these units have already been put into operation. The third goal is the most technologically complex — these are issues related to the treatment of sludge. The decontamination step is added. The precipitate is fermented in vitro, biogas is formed in the process. It will be used to generate electrical energy. It is enough to cover half of the station's needs. And the final stage is the construction of a sludge incineration plant, "said Kirill, deputy director of Minskvodokanal for construction

The next point of the on-site seminar was the occupational safety center of Minskstroy. The deputies were given an excursion, demonstrating modern classrooms, interactive platforms, training grounds, exposition halls, VR simulators. The center has all the conditions for practicing practical skills. For each type of hazardous work — from welding to high-rise work — special situations have been modeled and thematic training videos have been created that clearly demonstrate the need to use personal protective equipment.

During the plenary session, First Deputy Chairman of the Construction and Investment Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vadim Pichits reported on the implementation of the decision of the Minsk City Council of Deputies "On approval of the Investment Program of Minsk for 2026" and on the implementation of large investment facilities in the capital.

Among the main objects that are being completed are the National Unity Park, the overpass from Kolesnikov Street to Timiryazev Street, the reconstruction of the buildings of the 6th City Clinical Hospital, the second section of the third metro line and many others. V. Pichits also elaborated on three major investment projects: residential areas "Minsk-Mir" and "North Bank" and the multifunctional complex "Gazprom Center".

General Director of the enterprise Anatoly Vederchik told about the efficiency of work and the development of Minskstroy.

— In 2026, our organizations are working at 384 facilities. Of these, 141 are capital repairs, 83 are housing construction, 74 are infrastructure, 64 are social facilities, 14 are industrial and 8 are other facilities. Among them are the building of the National Museum of Belarus, a sports complex with a swimming pool near Belorusskaya Street and a multidisciplinary polyclinic in the village of Vostochny. Until the end of the year, we will introduce the state archive of Minsk, a clinical infectious diseases hospital and a hostel for medical workers in the area of Dolginovsky tract. We are also building seven residential buildings for those in need of better housing conditions on Filimonov, Serov, Vygotsky streets, "he informed.
