Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory Stanislav Grinev and Oleg Boychenko visited the Museum of “Combat Glory of the Airborne Troops” named after Hero of the Soviet Union V.F. Margelov, which operates on the basis of school No. 6 in Krasnodar.
The center of attention is the role of the museum as a platform for patriotic education and the living connection of generations. According to the deputies, it is the emotional involvement of those who preserve and transmit history that makes the work of the museum truly meaningful.
During the visit, the parliamentarians spoke with the school leadership. The conversation turned out to be substantive: it was about educational work, current projects and opportunities for support from the deputy corps. It was noted that it is especially valuable when the school does not wait for solutions from above, but puts forward initiatives and looks for ways of development.
The exposition of the museum covers several epochs at once: from the exploits of paratroopers during the Great Patriotic War (Kursk arc, Stalingrad) to the stories of modern soldiers - participants in a special military operation. A separate place is occupied by a stand dedicated to the life and combat path of the legendary commander of the Airborne Forces Vasily Filippovich Margelov.
The museum not only carefully preserves the history, but also regularly receives recognition at the regional level. In 2022, he celebrated his 40th anniversary, and previously was awarded the title of the best school Museum of Military Glory in the Krasnodar Territory. Behind these awards is the painstaking work of teachers, students and those who stood at the origins of the museum.
Stanislav Grinev said: You know what struck me the most? Not the number of exhibits and not the awards on the stands. I was struck by the fire in the eyes of the guide talks about Margelov and our paratroopers. This means that memory is really alive, that it is transmitted from older to younger. We often talk about patriotic education as something abstract, and here I saw it in a particular case. For my part, I will keep the issues of supporting the school under control and I will definitely return here again with new initiatives.
Oleg Boychenko stressed the importance of the museum as a center of patriotic education:
“A museum in the sixth school is not just a study with exhibits. This is a real center of patriotic education. We see with what love the history of the Airborne Forces is collected here, how reverently the memory of the heroes of the SVO is preserved. It is important that the school management and the teaching staff do this not for a tick, but from the heart. These places need to be maintained and developed. Education on the examples of real heroes is the foundation on which our society rests. We will definitely continue to assist the school in the development of the museum and patriotic projects.”.
Both MPs stressed that they intend to further promote the development of the museum and school patriotic projects, so that this lively connection of times will continue to strengthen.
