Children cry in the same language. Petkevich - about the humanitarian track in the CIS, capable of linking everything else

The social sphere in cooperation between the CIS countries is the point of contact that can connect all other areas. This was stated in an interview with journalists in Turkmenistan on the eve of the Commonwealth summit by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus and National Coordinator for CIS Affairs Natalia Petkevich.

- The social sphere is the point of contact that can connect everything else. Because babies cry in the same language, people laugh in the same language. And we always understand here that social success is interesting for everyone. And the problems are all the same, said Natalia Petkevich.
According to her, in the humanitarian sphere, the CIS countries managed to maintain a good track of cooperation since the days of the Soviet Union, although now they sometimes know little or say little about it
- Now there is even a return in something. We have questions about the registration of medicines. But when you start working with colleagues, you find common ground. Not easy. It’s not because there’s politics here. Each country follows the path of development of the national producer and protection of interests.
Natalia Petkevich is confident that in general, the humanitarian track and the social sphere in cooperation remained at the same high level. At the same time, certain directions probably need more dynamics. For example, interaction in the field of culture.
- Even with Turkmenistan, we talked about film production. They're interested, we're interested. We are discussing this with other colleagues – Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, who are making progress and are interested in our experience. Petkevich announced the potential of cooperation between Belarus and Turkmenistan in pharmaceuticals and medical products
