Children with disabilities from the Kherson region can undergo rehabilitation in the profile center

The Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance of the Kherson region has been operating since 2023 and provides services to residents of the entire region. Specialists of the institution conduct classes with children who have various developmental features, including those with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and autism spectrum disorders.

The work is carried out according to individual programs, which are developed taking into account the age of the child and his functional capabilities. The basis for the formation of the program are the recommendations of the psychological-medical-pedagogical commission (PMPC).

A comprehensive rehabilitation program covers the development of the cognitive sphere - memory, thinking and attention, the formation and improvement of fine motor skills, support and correction of the emotional sphere. Special attention is paid to the development of communication skills, including the launch and development of speech, as well as work on coordination of movements, balance and general motor skills. Teachers select special exercises aimed at increasing the independence of the child in everyday life. Classes are held with the participation of parents, which allows you to consolidate the acquired skills at home.

In addition, the institution has opened a crisis center for adolescents and their parents, where you can seek psychological help.
