Children's prank almost cost a large family in Ephraim life

The fire in Efremov could have ended in tragedy, but all slept inexpensive device. On Saturday, November 7, the regional emergency department revealed the details of the fire that occurred on the evening of October 26. The rescue service called with a message about a fire in the apartment on the street of Friendship. Already on the way, the crew was reported: a large family lives in the building, and there are probably people inside.

The flames engulfed 10 square meters. Three residents were taken out of the fire, five were evacuated. No casualties.

The interrogator helped to put everything in place: the examination showed that the fire spread in one of the rooms - there the sofa caught fire. The arsonist was a child who decided to play with fire.

The family is saved by an autonomous smoke detector. The mother was in the kitchen at the time, but the sharp signal of the device forced her to rush to the children and get everyone out of the danger zone before the firefighters arrived.

Such a sensor has repeatedly rescued other families, retaking lives and property from the fire. It costs a penny, space almost does not take up, and the benefit of the whole apartment.

“This case is a clear example of the fact that security is never superfluous. The loud signal of a small device, which is inexpensive, at the right moment became an assistant in saving the whole family. We strongly recommend that everyone take care of their safety and install detectors in housing, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reminded.
