Children's Ombudsman of the Lipetsk region celebrated the 15th anniversary
The Institute of the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child in the Lipetsk region celebrates fifteen years of work

The Institute of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Lipetsk region celebrates fifteen years of work. Its appearance became possible in 2011, when deputies of the regional parliament adopted a law on the children's ombudsman.
During this time, the Ombudsman’s office received more than 14 thousand appeals. According to the Institute, in 98% of cases, a positive solution was found.
On the anniversary of the employees congratulated on behalf of the deputies of the regional Council Deputy Chairman of the regional Parliament Andrey Frolov. He stressed that the parliament and the children’s ombudsman interact on an ongoing basis: deputies annually hear reports on the work of the institute, and its representatives participate in the preparation of bills and propose measures to protect the rights of children.
According to Frolov, the Ombudsman’s initiatives helped to change regional legislation, and some of the proposed solutions were distributed at the federal level.
