The bottom of the Astrakhan canals is cleaned after the water level decreases
Currently, the water level in urban canals is falling. This temporary measure is associated with planned prevention on the water utility networks. Astrakhan Mayor Igor Redkin instructed city utilities to use this period to clean the bottom of reservoirs where it is technically possible.
On the eve of the cleaning work was carried out on the sections of the canals: from the bridge in the alignment of the Main longitudinal street to the Red Bridge, from the Victory Bridge to Vozdvizhensky, as well as on the Varvatsievsky Canal, passing along the alley of the Family.
In connection with preventive measures on the water utility networks, cold water supply was temporarily stopped in three districts of Astrakhan (with the exception of Trusovsky district, Babaevsky microdistrict and Kiri-Kili village) from 21.00 on October 9 to 14.00 on October 10.
On October 11, it was announced that Astrovodokanal had completed the necessary work ahead of schedule. Water intake facilities have been launched, and the system is being restored to normative indicators. All divisions of the enterprise successfully completed the tasks in full. It should be noted that specialists will need time to launch 87 boost pumping stations on the company’s balance sheet.
