By the end of the year, about 50 thousand square meters of rental housing will be put into operation in Minsk

The main emphasis in the construction sector of Minsk is on the construction of rental housing and houses for the needy. About the plans to put them into operation in 2026 told the General Director of “Minskstroy” Anatoly Vederchik, writes sb.by.

According to the Minsk-Novosti news agency, he said: At present, about 45 houses for those in need and rent are being built simultaneously. Some of them will be delivered before the end of 2026. We plan to put into operation about 77 thousand square meters of housing for the needy and about 50 thousand square meters of rental housing this year.

The general director of GPO Minskstroy specified that the development is carried out mainly point-by-point in different districts of the city. Of the larger locations, we can call Vygotsky Street, where 11 houses will be built, the development site on Gursky Street and the Gulliver complex. However, most locations are designed for the construction of 2-5 houses. At the same time, the predominant method of construction of buildings remains large-panel housing.

Anatoly Vederchik added that this year 14 housing construction facilities have already been put into operation, which is about 100 thousand square meters.

- Most of the objects - about 85 percent of the total - are built in large-panel housing construction. The rest of the houses are a monolith and filling from small-piece materials, the general director of Minskstroy said.
