Last week, a team of two doctors, a nurse and a paramedic of the regional public health center and the Kuznetsk district hospital, together with two volunteer doctors, went to the village of Stary Kryazhim of the Kuznetsk district.
Volunteers helped doctors during medical examination: examined patients, measured pressure, pulse and intraocular pressure, filled out questionnaires, collected tests, conducted ECG. They also talked with villagers about the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, osteoporosis and bad habits.
More than 40 people visited the FAP on this day. The project is valuable for both villagers and future doctors: it provides experience in primary care and helps to hone communication skills.
