The librarians began the meeting with a conversation: the children shared their favorite stories, after which they watched a staged Russian folk tale “Repka” using a finger theater. Then the specialists told preschoolers about the peculiarities of local folklore. The main difference of Pskov fairy tales was called a unique dialect, which gives stories a special soulfulness and closeness to the listener.
The guests listened to two authentic stories - "About Grandpa and Grandma, or the Bull - a tar barrel" and "How the goat went after the snares, and the goat after the nuts." Thematic games helped to consolidate knowledge: the guys guessed riddles and collected puzzles based on the heard works. As a result, young readers came to the conclusion that Pskov fairy tales not only teach good, but also introduce the beauty of their native land.
