The inspectors did not just tell – they gave tasks so that the children themselves understood that the road does not tolerate inattention. There was a lot of talk about autumn and winter: it gets dark early, visibility drops, and it is important to be visible.
The site in Valdai is arranged as a mini-city: there are roads, and crossings, and traffic lights, and road signs. Walking through this “city”, the children learned to notice dangers – for example, how to behave near the railway crossing, at the bus stop and even in the cabin of the bus.
Together with the mentors, the kids figured out how to cross the street correctly - both where there is a traffic light and where there is no traffic light. And as a gift, each child was handed passive means of pedestrian protection - such "beacons" that in the dark make the baby bright and noticeable to drivers.
