Drones: Novgorod region expands cooperation with Pediatric University

Resuscitation patients of the Regional Children's Hospital and the Perinatal Center will be given more attention. The Governor of the Novgorod region Alexander Dronov at a meeting with the rector of St. Petersburg Pediatric University Dmitry Olegovich Ivanov discussed virtual rounds in medical institutions.

University staff will now travel to the municipal districts of the region and assess the quality of treatment and medical care in the Perinatal Center. Special attention will be paid to the maternity service.

The achievements of the Novgorod region in the field of health care were separately noted by Dmitry Olegovich. It is noted that in the first nine months of this year, the region showed one of the lowest infant mortality rates in the country - 2.2%. Positive dynamics was also recorded in the line of child mortality, which decreased by half compared to the indicators of 2025.

Work with the University is not one year. Its specialists advise Novgorod doctors, accept young patients in difficult situations, and our students actively study there and improve their skills.

The Governor of Novgorod region thanked Pediatric University and Dmitry Olegovich for many years of contribution and assistance to the region.
