The Governor of the Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko told about the autumn race of elk in the Leningrad region and shared a video from the forests in his channel “Max”.
The head of the 47th region offered to admire the majesty and beauty of nature that surrounds us. Just a few kilometers from the city noise and bustle is a forest, where peace and quiet reign. In the Leningrad region there are about 26 thousand moose.
“Nature has its rhythms. Someone is preparing for the winter, gaining fat, and moose are now looking for couples. Roads, cars, fences are not a hindrance to them. Animals can go on the road in the most unexpected place, said Drozdenko.
The governor urged residents to be vigilant and remember some rules: at night and at dusk, slow down on forest roads, even if you are confident in the route. Be very careful during the rain. Moose eyes do not reflect the light of the headlights, so they are difficult to notice in advance. If you notice a moose on the side of the road, immediately slow down and be prepared for the fact that the animal can go out on the road.
Avoid sharp signals and maneuvers. Slow down and drive by carefully. The forest is a natural habitat for many wild animals. When people are in the forest, it is important not to forget that you can encounter its inhabitants.
Earlier, “MK in the Leningrad region” wrote that the Leningrad citizen complained about the waste dump on the site in the Krasnoselsk village.
