On October 9, the Gatchina Theatre of the Young Spectator organized a special evening for the residents of the district, dedicated to the 230th anniversary of Gatchina’s receipt of city status. This was not just a performance, but a real creative communication of the theater with its audience through the language of art.
As reported in the press service of the administration of Gatchina with reference to the Committee on Culture and Tourism of the Gatchina district, the evening began with words of gratitude addressed to Natalia Lekarkina, a key figure in the history of the youth competition. Since the founding of the theater, Natalia Ivanovna has always remained a part of it: she began as an actress, and then became the head of the costumer, giving her favorite business all her strength and creative inspiration.
All the actors of the troupe performed on stage this evening, showing the audience their talents. The one and a half hour program harmoniously combined traditions and modernity.
Among the numbers: productions that won the hearts of the Gatchina public, theatrical interpretations of the works of Chekhov, Sholokhov and Kuprin, emotional declarations from the plays of Shakespeare and Nabokov.
Also, the artists presented compositions dedicated to the life of the actors, their relationships with fans and created a unique atmosphere in the hall. The audience highly appreciated each performance and expressed deep affection for the theater and its artists.
