Belarusian athletes showed an outstanding result at the world championship, winning 36 gold, 12 silver and 7 bronze medals, as well as setting two world records.

Dosaaf head coach Irina Kovalevskaya noted that all participants from the Belarusian team were great. “We tried and showed just a super result,” the coach shared her emotions. According to her, the success contributed to the constant training: athletes trained every day five times a week, one training lasted three hours.

About 150 participants from 15 countries participated in the competition. The coach noted that the Russian team took second place, the third was the Romanian team.

As part of the Belarusian team, Anna Semenikhin was a 15-time absolute world champion who set a world record in the letter mixture. “This is the medal of the absolute world champion. It is for me the most worthy and the most difficult, she said, noting the level of competition. According to her, the national team of Belarus is very strong, but it was difficult and interesting to play because the opponents were worthy.

18-year-old Kristina Samusevich set a new world record in receiving mixed text – 270 characters per minute. Previously, this achievement belonged to the Russian athlete (260 characters per minute). For Christina, this is the fifth world championship. The girl appreciated the organization of the competition and the level of competition. According to her, serious rivals were athletes from Russia and Bulgaria. At the training stage, I knew I could set a record. Before the competition, I set a goal to show my result, and I succeeded, added Kristina Samusevich.

High-speed radiotelegraphy is a technical sport that requires athletes to have the highest concentration, lightning-fast reaction and masterly ownership of the telegraph key. Competitions include the reception and transmission of alphabetic, digital and mixed radiograms, as well as computer exercises RUFZ and Morse Runner, simulating work in air conditions.

The Belarusian team is a recognized leader in world radio sports: since 2001 it has consistently taken first place in the team standings at the world championships. At the previous, 21st World Cup, held in 2025 in Montenegro, the Belarusian team won 55 medals, 35 of which were the highest standard, and set two world records. DOSAAF team took 55 medals and set two world records at the World Cup in high-speed radiotelegraphy in Tunisia
