The janitor from Saransk spent almost 12 thousand rubles from someone else’s card
He found a credit card in one of the parking lots.

In Saransk, a 50-year-old janitor is accused of stealing money from a found bank card. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Mordovia, the man found the credit card in the parking lot, but instead of returning it to the owner or handing it over to the police, he decided to use someone else’s funds.
Within three days, he paid 33 times with a card in stores, buying groceries and alcohol. In total, the man spent almost 12 thousand rubles, and then threw away the card.
The owner did not find the missing immediately, as he turned off notifications about banking transactions. The accused pleaded guilty and promised to pay damages.
He faces up to six years in prison for theft.
