In relation to the 50-year-old janitor, the investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Saransk opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”.

The police found out: the credit card man found in the parking lot during garbage collection. Seeing the symbol of contactless payment on the payment instrument, he decided to use the find to buy food and alcohol. For three days, he made 33 purchases in various stores of Saransk, paying with the card found; the amount of expenses amounted to 11,900 rubles, then the means of payment was thrown away.

The owner of the card did not immediately find out about her disappearance and write-offs - she disabled notifications earlier. Realizing that there was no card, the victim went to the police.
