The October district court of St. Petersburg sent into custody adviser to the director of Mostotrest Sergey Tsarkov and Deputy head of the repair department Arseniy Rechkin. They are suspected of receiving a bribe of 1 million rubles. This was reported in the joint press service of the courts of the city.
According to the investigation, Tsarkov, Rechkin and several other employees of Mostotrest conspired and took money from a representative of the customer company. The amount is not less than a million rubles. Some were handed over personally, some through intermediaries.
For this, they had to help the company with a state contract for the repair of the embankment of the Obvodny Canal - from the duct of the French Bucket to the Atamansky Bridge. The contract is almost 2.5 billion rubles. We are talking about other contracts for the repair of roads and bridges in the city.
The defendants were detained on October 7 and charged. They didn't admit it. Asked to be released under house arrest or banned from certain activities. The court left them in jail until December 6, 2026.
This is not the first corruption scandal in Mostotrest. Earlier, the Krasnogvardeysky district court found the former head of the mechanization department Alexander Albin guilty of 23 episodes of receiving bribes. The court appointed him 10 years in a strict regime colony, a fine of 15 million rubles and a ban on senior positions.
