On an important day for the whole country - September 17 - a solemn meeting and a festive concert were held in the Frunze district of Minsk. Details in the material of the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
In secondary school No. 81, where the holiday was held, the best employees of institutions and enterprises of the district gathered - those who every day make the Frunze district and the whole of Minsk a little better, warmer and cozy.
The guests were the Chairman of the Minsk City Council Artem Tsuran, deputies of the House of Representatives and the Minsk City Council, the leadership of the administration of the Frunze district, heads of structural units, institutions and enterprises, representatives of law enforcement agencies, public associations, as well as active residents of the district.

The choice of the venue – the school – is not accidental. The head of the administration of the Frunze district emphasized the deep historical connection between the formation and sovereignty of the state.
- We are not gathering in the walls of the school today. We remember the times when Belarusians were not allowed to study, were not given the opportunity to receive basic things that every citizen of any state needs, said Artem Shegidevich, head of the district.
September 17 is not just a calendar date, but a public holiday, the meaning of which is important to explain to the younger generation. It is in schools and labor collectives that people speak about the value of the unity that exists in modern Belarusian society.

The solemn part of the event was remembered not only for the concert program, but also for the award ceremony. The organizers approached the issue symbolically: in honor of the holiday — September 17 — honorary certificates and gratitude received exactly 17 people. Among the awardees are representatives of various spheres of life of the district: power unit, housing and communal services, social sphere. We tried to get everyone on stage.
- It seems to me that today everyone can smile, congratulate each other and be proud again and again that we live in a common, kind, affectionate and beloved Belarus.
According to him, everyone who rose to the stage personified a whole industry and direction of work. All of them are the pride of the Frunze district and the whole country.
- Each of them is our pride. Therefore, today we say a huge word of gratitude to them, A. Shegidevich concluded.

Chairman of the Minsk City Council A. Tsuran congratulated the residents of the district and all Belarusians on the state holiday and shared his thoughts on the importance of unity for the country:
- Unity is a multifaceted concept. Representatives of about 160 nationalities live in Belarus, and all of them live in peace and harmony, solve everyday issues, make plans, including with the participation of the authorities. Religious harmony is an example for many countries of the world: 25 religions peacefully coexist in our country, which often hold their events at the same venues and celebrate common holidays together.
Tsuran believes that the concept of national unity is much broader than just a historical date. First of all, it is the unity of all residents of Belarus, Minsk, Frunze district in their thoughts – to live in peace, under clear skies, in friendship with neighbors, so that children can build their lives and careers in their native land.

He appealed to the historical memory of the people. The thousand-year history of Belarus has known many tragic pages: oppression and oppression, repeated seizures, burning of cities, bans on the native language. In 1939, not a single Belarusian school, not a single Belarusian publication remained on the territory of Western Belarus. The people survived executions and furnaces, but survived and gained independence at a high cost.
- And our business is to educate the future generation and preserve this sovereignty and independence, Tsuran said.
In conclusion, he wished everyone health, strength and energy for the development of the country, further prosperity and preservation of independence.

Greetings were accompanied by various numbers of the concert program. From the stage sounded warm words, music, applause – and on this day it was especially acute to feel that unity is not just a beautiful word. These are our people, our common work, our memory and our path to the future.

The event in the Frunze district became part of the republican celebrations dedicated to the Day of National Unity, and again reminded of the main values of Belarusian society: peace, harmony and a common desire for creation.
