“He was already considered dead”: revived before the funeral, the mathematician told what awaits Russia, the United States and Ukraine
Afghan mathematician Sidik Afghan once again made predictions about the future of Russia, the United States, Europe and Ukraine. In his scenario, the coming years may be accompanied by major political changes, natural and man-made disasters, as well as serious risks associated with the development of artificial intelligence.

Sidik Afghan was born in 1958 in Kabul. He received a mathematical education, taught exact sciences, served in the army and graduated from the Kabul Polytechnic University, and gained wide fame thanks to public speeches about the future.
Afghanistan calls its forecasting system “philosophical mathematics.” According to his own description, it combines mathematical calculations, elements of probability theory, numerology and analysis of historical regularities. The mathematician attaches special importance to 40-year cycles, which, in his opinion, are associated with periods of major changes in world politics.
Claims about the accuracy of his previous forecasts require caution. Some of the predictions that are now associated with Afghanistan are spread in retelling without reliable primary sources, so it is not always possible to check the original wording, dates and context.
One of Afghanistan’s most famous statements is his prediction of the collapse of the Soviet Union. The mathematician claimed that back in 1976 he spoke about the end of the existence of the USSR in about 15 years, which really coincided with the collapse of the country in 1991.
Other predictions attributed to him concern the emergence of a strong leader in Russia after Boris Yeltsin and the events of September 11, 2001 in the United States. However, the degree of documentary confirmation of such statements varies, so it is impossible to perceive them as accurately recorded predictions without checking the original sources.
In new speeches, Afghanistan describes the current period as particularly difficult for humanity. To illustrate, he uses the image of a falling plane and warns that civilization has reached a dangerous point.
A special place in his reasoning is occupied by artificial intelligence. Afghanistan believes that the uncontrolled development of technology can create threats to people if states cannot establish effective control mechanisms. It also allows for new natural and man-made emergencies, including earthquakes and floods.
Part of Afghanistan’s discourse is devoted to the United States. He claims that Donald Trump will become the last president of the United States, after which the American state will allegedly face disintegration.
For Europe, the mathematician also draws a large-scale scenario of change. According to him, in 2027 the region may face serious natural shocks, and the European Union in the period from 2027 to 2032 will allegedly cease to exist.
These statements are the predictions of Afghanistan, not confirmed scenarios. Their specific time frames allow such statements to be verified only as the relevant periods come, so it is impossible to assess them as faits accompli.
With regard to Russia, Afghanistan follows a much more favorable scenario. It implies further strengthening of the country’s international influence and the emergence of a new association of states that will resemble the former USSR in terms of cooperation, but will not become a single state.
In its interpretation, it is a union of independent countries. At the same time, such arguments in themselves do not indicate that such a merger will really arise: this is an assessment scenario built on Afghanistan’s own forecasting system.
The mathematician makes some statements about Ukraine. Afghanistan argues that the current political structure of the country in the coming years may face serious changes, and Volodymyr Zelensky, according to him, will disappear from the political scene.
However, he does not disclose a specific scenario. In one of the statements, Afghan used the wording: “It will happen that he disappears”, but it is impossible to determine whether it is a withdrawal from politics, termination of powers or any other event.
Afghanistan associates an even more specific forecast with the end of the conflict. He argues that by 2028, the southeastern territories of Ukraine may become part of Russia, the central part will remain independent, and the western regions will be in the sphere of influence of neighboring states.
