Echo of attacks on data centers: Yandex services continue to fail on October 14

According to the monitoring service Downdetector, in “Yandex Go” users face a long load of the application, departures and navigation problems. “Yandex Music” does not always display the lyrics of songs and the history of listening. There are also complaints about search: results are downloaded intermittently, links are not always opened.

A separate wave of appeals is associated with the work of Yandex Pay. The monitoring service records the overall network failure of the application. Over the past hour, the largest share of complaints came from the Novosibirsk region – 37% of reports. Following are Kirov region with 14% of complaints, Saratov region with 10%, Kemerovo region with 9% and Samara region with 8%.

Statistics Downdetector for the last day shows that 67% of complaints about problems with “Yandex Pay” are directly related to the failure of the service. Another 26% of users reported problems in their personal account, and 5% reported problems with the mobile application.

The failures were caused by an enemy attack on the infrastructure of Yandex. From 8 to 11 October, Ukrainian drones damaged or destroyed three data centers of the company in Central Russia — in the Ryazan, Kaluga and Vladimir regions.

Earlier, “MK in Novosibirsk” reported that “Yandex” responded to complaints of Novosibirsk about failures in taxis.
