An international expert on electoral processes from Argentina, Alejandro Tullio, checked the organization of elections in the Lipetsk region and praised the level of their transparency.
The former national director for elections of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Argentina and the secretary for elections of the province of Chubut paid special attention to the observance of secrecy of voting. He noted that the video surveillance system, open access for observers from parties and competent location of the booths completely eliminate pressure on voters, while maintaining the privacy of the will.
The expert also compared the electoral process in Russia and at home: in Argentina, the ballot boxes are made completely opaque, and the voting itself lasts only one day – from 9:00 to 18:00. The foreigner stressed that he was completely satisfied with what he saw in the Lipetsk areas.
