Electric buses will be launched from Minsk to Smolevichi and Fanipol in 2026: this is a pilot project
Five electric buses will enter the Minsk-Smolevich and Minsk-Fanipol routes as part of the pilot project. With a successful inspection in winter next year, the park will expand to 20 cars for Smolevich and 15 for Fanipol, plus additional electric buses for urban transport.

This year, five pilot electric buses will start operating on the Minsk-Smolevichi and Minsk-Fanipol directions in experimental mode, the director of Minoblpassengertrans Sergey Yatsynovich said in the Tick-Tolk program on ONT air. The efficiency of the equipment will be assessed by the operation of batteries and charging in winter conditions. If the project shows results, next year it is planned to deliver up to 20 electric buses to Smolevichi and up to 15 to Fanipol.
Sergey Yatsynovich: This year, as an experiment, it is planned to supply five electric buses. These are pilot projects: three cars will go to the direction Minsk-Smolevichi and two to Minsk-Fanipol. We will decide on the battery, on charging. Winter conditions are ahead of us.”.
If the pilot project with the launch of electric buses will be effective, then in 2027 cars on Smolevichi and Fanipol will be added.
“If they are effective, next year they expect to deploy the project in full: to Smolevichi – the supply of up to 20 electric buses and four more on city routes, to Fanipol – up to 15 and two more in city traffic”, – the director of Minoblpassazhirtrans.
