Elista was among the airports that received state support for 10.7 billion rubles

The Russian government has allocated 10.7 billion rubles from the reserve fund to support the airports of the central part and the south of the country. The order of the Cabinet has already been published. The financing will partially offset the costs of current activities and interest payments on loans and loans for the period from July 2025 to June 2026.

Recipients include airports closed to civilian flights since February 2022, including Elista. Elista Airport resumed operation in May 2024, and some other airports have already returned to passenger service.
