Power engineers of Buryatenergo (part of Rosseti Siberia) are approaching the final stage of the implementation of the plan to overhaul the power grids of the capital of Buryatia. The budget of measures for 2026 increased by 40%, amounting to about 80 million rubles, the Ministry of Transport of Buryatia reported.
The program is 83% complete and strictly complies with the approved schedule. In particular, 13.3 km of overhead lines were repaired: 203 of 250 supports (81%) were replaced and 10.5 km of self-supporting insulated wires were laid instead of old uninsulated analogues. Also, 4.1 km of cable routes out of 4.9 planned (84%) were restored. 50 out of 56 facilities (substations and distribution points) completed work with equipment, which is 89% of the plan.
Modernization of lines and replacement of equipment directly increase the stability and quality of electricity supply to the population.
Chief engineer of Buryatenergo Viktor Perelygin noted that the material and technical base is fully provided, and there is no threat of delay. All remaining tasks will be completed by the end of the year according to schedule.
In 2027, network updates will continue. A plan for the next year has already been prepared and submitted to the city administration, which involves a significant expansion of work: repair of 20.5 km of overhead lines (an increase of 54% compared to the current year), 6 km of cable lines (an increase of 22%) and maintenance of equipment at 57 facilities.
