Specialists of the branch "Rosseti Center" - "Smolenskenergo" organized for students of the third grade of school No. 27 of Smolensk named after E.A. Hill exciting excursion, which was held in the corporate museum and the classroom of the enterprise.
In the museum exposition, Alexander Vasilshko, the leading engineer of the Department of Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Improvement, introduced schoolchildren to the history of Smolensk energy from the first power plants to modern computer systems. The children saw unique exhibits and photos that clearly show the development of the electric grid complex of the region.
The meeting continued in the classroom. Leading specialist of the labor protection service Konstantin Ivanov conducted an interactive lesson for third-graders on the rules of electrical safety. With the help of visual aids and simulators, he explained to children the danger of power facilities on the streets of the city and electrical appliances at home, how to act correctly to avoid trouble.
The event was held within the framework of the Comprehensive Program for Reducing the Risks of Injury. Such meetings not only introduce children to the history of one of the region’s key industries, but also provide them with vital safety skills to help prevent accidents at power facilities.
