"Torch" risks ending the RPL season in last place

The probability that Voronezh Torch will finish the season of the Russian Premier League 2026/27 in the zone of direct relegation has reached almost 70%. Such estimates led the football statistical service Opta before the tenth round of the championship.

According to analysts, the most likely outcome for the team is the last place in the table. The chances of Torch to take the 16th line are 47.1%, and to finish in 15th place - 22%.

The opportunity to finish the championship in the 13th or 14th position, which will allow you to compete for the preservation of a place in the RPL through play-offs, is estimated significantly lower: 7.3% and 12.8%, respectively.

At the same time, the probability of hitting the top of the tournament table remains minimal. According to Opta, the chances of Voronezh to take seventh place are only 0.4%. To repeat the best result of the club in the RPL - 11th position - the team can with a probability of 3.1%.

Before the start of the season, the total probability of a direct flight of the Torch was estimated at 34%: 15.5% was in last place, another 18.5% - in the penultimate. Thus, during the championship, the forecast of analysts became much less favorable for the Voronezh club.

After a pause for matches of national teams, Torch returns to performances in the RPL on October 10. As part of the tenth round, Voronezh will play in their field with Lokomotiv Moscow.
