A farmer from Kondopoga was awarded the highest award at the Golden Autumn - 2026

At the 28th agro-industrial exhibition in Moscow, held under the auspices of "Golden Autumn - 2026", Mikhail Yarkov became the winner. An entrepreneur from Karelia won the nomination dedicated to the introduction of innovative solutions in small agribusiness and was awarded a gold medal.

The key to success was the author’s development of the farmer – a mobile application for Android, designed to manage a strawberry farm. The program, launched in 2026, allows to comprehensively automate the farm: from control of fertilizer application and field work schedule to financial reporting and accounting of harvested crops.

Mikhail’s success story began four years ago when he became a recipient of the Agrostrap grant. These funds allowed to launch the production of garden strawberries in the Kondopoga district. Today, the family business, which Mikhail develops together with his wife Ekaterina, has become a recognizable brand in the region - their products are sold under the brand name Bright in the Field. This example clearly demonstrates how government support in combination with IT technologies contributes to the growth of agricultural efficiency in Karelia.
