A meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation was held in Moscow. The results of the nine months of 2026 were summed up, the development of key areas of support, the opening of additional branches in municipalities and the introduction of the State Information System were discussed.

First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko noted that the Fund’s capabilities and powers are growing, and a professional team provides assistance to veterans of the SVO and their families. As a result, the trust of residents in the organization increases.

Since June 2026, with the support of the President, two more categories of combatants have been included in the Fund’s work: servicemen with disabilities and participants in repelling aggression in border territories who have received disabilities.

Anna Tsivileva, Chairman of the Foundation, said that a single information loop was formed together with the Military Social Center. Thanks to him, active servicemen receive information about support measures. Another area of joint work with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is early social support of SVO participants in hospitals.

Training, retraining and employment of veterans are becoming increasingly important. 23,150 SVO participants applied for assistance to the fund, more than half of them have already found work.

In addition, thanks to the support of the foundation, 17,000 veterans of the SVO systematically play sports. More than 4,500 of them are veterans with disabilities.

The Crimean regional branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation has been operating since June 2023. During this time, it has solved more than 100 thousand questions from the participants of the SVO and their families – from confirmation of status and registration of certificates to rehabilitation and employment.

In June 2026, the first municipal department of the fund was opened in Kerch. It receives fighters and their families from Kerch and Leninsky district. The decision was made due to the remoteness of the city from the regional branch in Simferopol.

The department helps with employment and retraining, housing adaptation, technical means of rehabilitation, legal and psychological support, as well as medical assistance.

The Sevastopol branch of the fund for 2025 received more than 6 thousand applications - 96% of them managed to resolve. In addition to the rehabilitation and treatment of fighters, the Foundation helps them with employment, conducts forums and courses on entrepreneurship.
