Photos of cats and dogs on the marketplace were stolen: sellers are terrified

As it became known “MK”, over the past year, the man has won the third lawsuit from sellers of goods for pets. All the scandals unfolded around the cute photos of cats and dogs posted as illustrations for ads on the marketplace. They depicted a retriever puppy lying next to a gray kitten, as well as a red cat and a Pomeranian Spitz dog. Charming animals advertised a brush vacuum cleaner for combing wool and an interactive toy for cats. All of these photos were used without the author’s permission. Apparently, the ad builders copied the stolen images from one source.

Recently, the photographer won the third lawsuit for copyright protection from accessories sellers. The first two “pirates” will have to pay him 60 and 50 thousand rubles, the third – 30 thousand rubles. But, apparently, this is not the limit, since it is not known how many other entrepreneurs have decided to advertise their product.
