On Saturday, September 19, in Dzerzhinsk, a large-scale regional festival-fair "Dazhynki-2026" was held. Why in Belarus thanks to the Head of State preserved and develop such a format of honoring people of labor, in the talk show “Budni” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio” explained the Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich, reports sb.by.
First of all, he urged to look at Dazhynki from a historical point of view:
- When the President introduced the tradition of celebrating Dazhynak, honoring people working in agriculture, our opponents took it extremely negatively. They began to say, “Why and who needs it?” Better raise your salaries. And so on. It's been years. And we see that today Dazhynki is an integral part of the life of the country. It has already been absorbed into the culture of Belarusians. It's our tradition.

- Every year people are looking forward to “Dazhynki”. Like many other festivals held in the country, by the way, the same "Vytoki", for example. Dazhynki are important not only for honoring and rewarding people of labor, but also as an opportunity to further popularize products. In addition, there is a good tradition - to ennoble the city hosting the festival-fair. Dazhynki is being repaired more than usual, and additional construction companies are being attracted - the infrastructure is improving. It is well known that any city is transformed into “Dazhynki”. Think about how many cities have changed for the better in decades. It is an absolutely wonderful and necessary tradition for Belarus.
The talk show “Budney” is released on weekdays in the morning on “Alpha Radio”. Each issue discusses the most relevant topics from the life of the country and the world.
