“Where would he sleep? At the stop?: the Russian rescued a student from the Congo
Accidental traveler helped a student from the Congo, who came to study in Kazan and was left without a bed

Pavel met a future student of Kazan Federal University on a train from Moscow to Kazan. The young man came from the Congo and did not understand Russian realities. He did not have rubles and bank cards, so he asked a fellow passenger to call a taxi to the hostel upon arrival.
Kazantsev helped: ordered a car, waited for it, put the guy down and left his phone number just in case. In the evening, a message came from an African: “Find me a place to relax.” I have money, but no cards.
According to Pavel, the student’s dormitory refused to settle before receiving a medical certificate from the university polyclinic. He was asked to be examined the next day. And the night was advised to look at the hostel. However, the foreigner could not get there on his own.
“He doesn’t know how to order a taxi and where to exchange dollars for rubles,” Kazantsev said. - He couldn't even buy water!
According to Paul, it was cold outside. A confused young man was sitting at a stop waiting for a fellow traveler to pick him up. He hasn't eaten or drunk since morning.
Kazantsev took the student, withdrew some cash for him for the first time and took him to eat. Then they went together to the university dormitory. Paul decided to talk to those who study foreign students.
He videotaped the conversation. His interlocutor explained that to settle the young man now can not: “First, it is impossible, secondly, there is no one.”.
It was not possible to settle that evening.
“They just turned us around and sent us to look for the hostel,” Pavel continued.
As a result, Kazantsev helped his friend to settle down for the night. According to him, the hostel administrator agreed to help the guest get to the hostel in the morning.
But if the guy wasn't coming with me, where would he sleep? At the bus stop? asks Paul.
After the incident, the man appealed to representatives of the KFU. He urged students from abroad to be given detailed instructions and help those who do not know the language and do not understand how to act in an unfamiliar country.
We contacted Kazantsev to find out about the fate of his companion. According to Pavel, the issue with housing decided: “Everything is fine, the next day the guy was moved to the hostel.”.
