Law enforcement requires a high level of digitalization. It is necessary to quickly introduce advanced technologies into practice - this is a basic condition for ensuring security in the XXI century. This was stated by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Gora today, October 7, at a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, the correspondent of sb.by reports.

In this regard, the Prosecutor General noted that it is necessary to expand the range of subjects for the prevention of such offenses, determine their powers, build a system for assessing the quality of work, as well as adopt specialized normative acts:
- To this end, as well as to develop additional measures to counter cybercrime, an interdepartmental working group operates under the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Speaking about the work to counter extremism, the head of the supervisory authority noted a decrease in such crimes in the country. In particular, active work has been ensured to investigate extremist crimes, expose and prosecute the perpetrators. For a year and a half, prosecutors supported state prosecution in more than 2 thousand criminal cases of this category against 2.5 thousand persons. Thanks to the institute of special production, persons who disappeared outside the republic were brought to justice. Since 2022, criminal cases have been sent to the courts on charges against more than 150 persons.
- At the same time, together with state security bodies, work was carried out to ban the activities of extremist foreign organizations. For example, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Supreme Court declared the United Transitional Cabinet a terrorist organization and the European Humanitarian University an extremist organization. Their activities are prohibited in Belarus, the Prosecutor General of Belarus stated. The Prosecutor General named the priority areas of general supervision in Belarus
