In the interests of the economic security of the state in the conditions of external illegal sanctions, Belarusian executive committees may introduce temporary external management in respect of organizations with foreign capital. This was stated today, October 7, the Prosecutor General of Belarus Dmitry Gora during a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, at which parliamentarians heard information from the Prosecutor General on the results of their activities.

In 2025 and the past period of this year, the prosecutor’s office paid significant attention to aspects of the economic security of the state, said Dmitry Gora. Last year, the Government implemented a number of proposals of the Prosecutor General’s Office to improve counter-sanctions measures. In particular, the terms of payment of dividends to persons from unfriendly countries have been adjusted, and the control mechanism has been optimized. If in 2023-2024 the amount of dividends paid exceeded 1 billion US dollars, then in 2025 it was paid 15 times less. The attorney general explained:
- In order to prevent unjustified termination of the activities of organizations, not to cause damage to their labor collectives and ensure their normal work, the legislation was improved taking into account our proposals. Now the executive committees can introduce temporary external management in respect of organizations with foreign capital. The government also established the possibility of applying penalties for early termination by persons from unfriendly countries of credit agreements and loan agreements concluded with Belarusian organizations. Gora: Protection of the rights of minors is a priority of the supervisory activities of the prosecutor's office
