The head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev congratulated agricultural workers on their professional holiday, noting that in the first half of 2026, the republic took second place in the Volga Federal District in the index of agricultural production.
In his address, the head of the region stressed that Chuvashia remains the main producer of hops and onions in Russia, as well as the leader of the district in potato yields (over 300 c / ha). Positive dynamics remains in the livestock and food industry, whose enterprises produce more than 9 thousand types of products.
Nikolaev also noted the importance of continuing agricultural education and attracting young people to the village through grants and support programs. Special thanks were addressed to veterans of the industry, whose movement in the republic unites more than 600 people.
