The head of Serpukhov congratulated the outstanding Russian scientist
Today marks the birthday of Mikhail Kovalchuk – President of the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute”, an outstanding Russian scientist and a person who devoted his life to the development of science and technology.
In 2026, Mikhail Valentinovich received a high state assessment - he was awarded the title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation.
The results of the scientist’s work are continued in the Moscow region: a center for nuclear medicine and hadron therapy is being created in Protvino on his initiative.
Mikhail Kovalchuk was congratulated by the head of acting Serpukhov Alexei Shimko:
