Gleb Nikitin will refuse the mandate of the Deputy of the state Duma

The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin, who received the mandate of a State Duma deputy following the results of the last elections, intends to abandon it. About it reports NewsNN, citing a source in the regional government.

Recall that in the elections last weekend, the leader was United Russia with a score of 53.41% of the vote. The regional party list was headed by Gleb Nikitin. As secretary of the regional branch of the EP, he campaigned and in campaign materials represented candidates from the party as members of his team.

According to the source, the future deputies face the task of solving the issues that the governor will raise in the State Duma, first of all, to protect the interests of the region in the federal budget and legislative process.

The procedure for transferring the mandate involves Nikitin submitting a statement to the Central Election Commission. After that, the right to become a deputy will pass to the next candidate from United Russia in the regional group.
