Deep blue, national ornament and recognizable silhouettes of city attractions will be the basis of the festive design of the capital for the City Day. This was told to the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” by the head of the design department of the KPUP “Minskreklama” Tatiana Bugorkova.
A festive transformation awaits the capital ahead of City Day. A special design will be given to the key venues of the holiday: the territory near the Minsk City Hall and the Sports Palace, the platform at the “Minsk – Hero City” stele, locations on the eve. Winners, "Chizhovka-Arena", as well as the park. Hugo Chavez and district venues with themed scenes.

The city spaces will be decorated with original posters, in which the deep blue color is combined with geometric elements reminiscent of the national ornament, and recognizable silhouettes of the iconic architectural symbols of Minsk. This design will combine traditional motifs with the modern appearance of the capital.

- We were looking for a visual language that would be understandable to every citizen of Minsk, but at the same time would look stylish and modern. Such a graphic, which combines traditional meanings, modern trends, and a festive atmosphere, explained T. Bugorkova.

The choice of a deep blue hue for decoration refers to the historical symbolism of the city and at the same time allows you to take a new look at the usual urban appearance, emphasizing the modern and dynamic nature of Minsk. Blue also symbolizes the greatness and spiritual protection of the city.

The balance between traditional culture and modern architecture, reflected in the holiday schedule, is supported by flashes of green and blue shades, which refer to the bright volleys of the fireworks and, according to the expert, symbolize the energy of the inhabitants of the capital.
