If a snake bites, call an ambulance as soon as possible or drive to the nearest hospital. The victim cannot move much, otherwise the poison will spread faster.

If a snake bites an arm or leg, move the limb as little as possible. You need to apply a clean, tight bandage just above the bite site, but it should not squeeze the blood vessels.
