Governor Mikhail Evraev praised the readiness of two medical institutions

The Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev personally checked how the construction of two large medical facilities in Yaroslavl is progressing - a modular polyclinic on Gogol Street and a new building of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. Both buildings are close to completion.

- I visited a new clinic on Gogol Street. The object, like any building, was not easy. Now the construction work is completed, the building is connected to engineering networks, commissioning and parallel licensing are underway. We plan to open the clinic in October. It is important to keep up with the seasonal increase in morbidity, said Mikhail Evraev, the governor of the Yaroslavl region, following the results of his departure in the Max channel. More than 90% of the construction and installation works in the new building of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital were completed. Backbone networks are laid, there are interior decoration and improvement. The development of healthcare in the region is a single process that combines training, the creation of modern clinics, the construction of new hospitals, the availability of medicines, and other areas. Each ultimately works to ensure that residents receive quality medical care at any stage.

The construction of the clinic on Gogol was paid from the regional treasury: almost 445 million rubles were invested under the state contract. The contractor was the Algorithm company.

The two-storey building with an area of over 2700 square meters is fully assembled. So that the medical institution did not depend on external networks, its own gas boiler and transformer substation was built for it - autonomous heat and power supply was provided.

The clinic is designed for 300 visits per shift and meets all Russian norms and standards. About 20 types of medical care will be provided here. Medical offices are equipped with modern diagnostic equipment - for x-rays, fluorography and mammography. Among the specialists to whom you can enroll are a pulmonologist, gerontologist and epidemiologist. The emergency room will also start working. For people with limited mobility, lifts are provided, and air conditioning systems are installed throughout the building.

The new building of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital has 160 beds. In it, children will be able to receive round-the-clock care - both planned and emergency - in such areas as oncology, hematology, cardiology, endocrinology and medical rehabilitation. Inside will house modern wards, intensive care units, classrooms and play areas.

The area of the six-storey building is 17,100 square meters. The facility is being built as part of a national project proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The box of the building is completely ready: the roof, windows and entrance groups have been installed, external communications – gas, water supply and sewerage – have been brought up. Interior decoration, laying nets and improvement of the surrounding area are at the final stage: access roads are paved, plants are planted, benches, a large playground and parking will appear.

Senator from the Yaroslavl region Natalia Kosikhina, who visited the medical facilities under construction, noted their key importance for the entire children's health care system of the region. Such large-scale and strategically important projects are always under close attention at the federal level, including both the construction process and compliance with deadlines. Within the framework of monitoring carried out in the Federation Council, reports often begin with the Yaroslavl region and the regional children's clinical hospital, since this region demonstrates a clear example of successful implementation of initiatives in the field of pediatric medicine, achieving concrete results. Equipping the new hospital building with modern operating rooms and equipment of an expert class will make it possible to conduct high-tech interventions and provide assistance to seriously ill young patients who previously had to go to federal centers. This project is a long-term investment in the future, covering demographic indicators, strengthening the health of the nation and increasing the confidence of families that the necessary assistance will be provided promptly and at the appropriate level.

On the same day, Mikhail Evraev visited Yaroslavl State Medical University. Today, more than five thousand students study here, and applicants come from all over the country. Representatives of 32 countries are educated in the international office. Many of those who graduated from the university are now heads of hospitals and clinics of the region, and are also members of the coordinating council, where they jointly make decisions on the development of health care in the region.

Together with the rector of YASMU, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Khokhlov, the governor visited the museum of the history of the university. The museum was opened in 2014, and a new exhibition space was added to the 80th anniversary of the university in 2024. The head of the region was particularly interested in the exposition dedicated to Zemstvo medicine of the Yaroslavl province. It contains rare items of the late XIX - early XX century: pharmacy dishes, medical instruments, screen, bag, as well as photos of the Yaroslavl provincial Zemstvo hospital. The guests were shown personal belongings and awards of academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, honorary citizen of Yaroslavl Yuri Novikov, who headed the university from 1977 to 2007.

The Governor was also presented with the book “Guidelines on the ethics of scientific research” edited by Professor Alexander Khokhlov. The publication, prepared by the author’s team, is devoted to the development of science in the era of the rapid introduction of advanced technologies, as well as the problems of integrity and responsibility of the scientist.
