The Governor of the Volgograd region supported vaccination against influenza by personal example
Immunization reduces the risk of severe disease.

The head of the region Andrey Bocharov made a flu shot in the vaccination office of the Volgograd State Medical University. During the visit, he spoke with medical students who had also come to the vaccinations, and the meeting became both a sign of support and an informal conversation about the importance of prevention.
According to the governor, the epidemiological situation in the region remains under control: the pace of the vaccination campaign and the prevailing weather conditions help. At the moment, 20% of the planned vaccination volume has been implemented. The main goal is to form a stable herd immunity among the population, and, as Bocharov emphasized, this task will be solved in a timely manner.
The head of the region paid special attention to the preventive role of vaccination: it significantly reduces the likelihood of severe flu and the development of complications, which are more often recorded in unvaccinated people. In his appeal to residents, Andrei Bocharov strongly recommended immunization. He stressed that the vaccine protects not only the person himself, but also those who are nearby, and urged not to put loved ones at risk. Separately, the governor appealed to employers, pointing to the economic and social feasibility of vaccinating employees: prevention reduces the burden on business due to sick leave.
The vaccination campaign in the Volgograd region started in late September. First of all, vaccinations are made to representatives of risk groups: children from six months, schoolchildren and students, medical workers, teachers, transport and housing and communal services employees, pregnant women, conscripts, people over 60 years old and patients with chronic diseases.
You can get vaccinated in any convenient place: in adults and children's clinics, central district hospitals, FAPs, medical outpatient clinics. For pupils of kindergartens and schoolchildren, vaccination is provided at the place of study. The vaccines used protect against current strains of the virus - their composition for the season 2026-2027 has been updated in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization. Immunity formed after vaccination helps reduce both the risk of infection and the likelihood of severe complications.
