AI will take 10% of the work: by 2035, the labor market will need 7.7 million fewer people
Finance, science and communication are leaders in implementation, construction and mining are lagging behind

Experts of the Presidential Academy modeled how AI will affect the labor market in Russia until 2035. The work uses data from the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Labor, Rosstat, McKinsey and BCG analysts, as well as data from recruitment platforms. Coverage is 19 industries.
An important caveat: the model takes into account the current level of AI – it performs individual tasks for a person, but does not replace it entirely.
Main conclusion
Without AI, Russia will need 76.7 million workers by 2035. With technology scaling, 69 million. The difference is 10%, or about 7.7 million people.
Where AI will take the most tasks:
The logic is simple: the more manual labor, the less algorithms can take over.
This is not about AI replacing everyone. The point is that the work will begin to be divided differently: some of the tasks will go to algorithms, and people will need other skills. This will happen most quickly in the office and intellectual spheres – finance, science, communications, education. But construction, mining and agriculture will remain “human” for a long time.
